Scrap Your Boilerplate in Scala @ Paris Scala Users Group, Paris, 28th Apr 2011

Posted by Miles Sabin on 28th Apr 2011

I’ll be presenting an updated version of the talk I gave at the Skills Matter Functional Programming eXchange at the Paris Scala User Group on the 28th of May.

As before, I’ll be showing how the Scrap your Boilerplate approach to generic programming in Haskell can be carried over to Scala. This time, I’ll also be showing how the approach allows us to do otherwise very difficult things like mapping over an HList, without either dynamic types tests or pattern matching.

Join us there or check back here later for the slides and code.
